The Process
We strive to create good fertile soil that retains moisture but drains well, i.e., have the right combination of sand, silt, and clay. We pay attention to those details and work for optimal conditions.
We do this by gathering topsoil and other organic material that already contains nature's rich nutrients, then we blend it with aged manure. At that point, it's a matter of time and turning. We add water to the pile and regularly stir the soil to keep it aerated so the material breaks down into nutrients your plants can actually use. Once it's had time to break down (six months to two years, depending on the soil), it's ready to go through the screening plant. From there, it's loaded into a truck and delivered to your house.
Clean Fill Dirt
We also offer clean fill dirt that is ready for leveling low spots or covering rocky ground. It is not powdery dust - it is decent quality dirt with the occasional rock or dirt clod. Add a little moisture and it firms up well for solid, practical ground prep.
